Osler has released all learning and training modules free of charge during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As healthcare providers across the world prepare for a tidal wave of patients with viral pneumonitis, many will be asked to work in roles outside their normal practice. Ward based staff in particular will be called upon to help in higher care environments such as the ICU.
“We feel that we have a very important role to play in supporting these clinicians,” says Osler co-founder Dr Todd Fraser. “We could not just sit by without doing everything we can to help.”
Osler has built a new app, purposed designed to allow users across the globe to access all training materials without fee or registration. The modules are arranged into learning pathways, helping those who will need to work in specific roles such as ICU to rapidly up-skill.
“We are seeking additional funding to support us in building as many free resources as we possibly can to help those at the coalface. Hopefully we’ll be able to bring those resources to life very soon.”
The iOS app can be downloaded free here while the web-based version can be found here. An Android version is due for release soon.
“We are encouraging all clinical staff to share this as widely as possible so that those in need of these skills can get access to high quality training.”
